Michael James Dooley of Needham, formerly of Millis, died Jan. 8 at Tippett's Hospice House in Needham. He was 48.
Born in Needham, Mr. Dooley graduated from Needham High School.
Mr. Dooley served as a sergeant E-4 in the Air Force during the Vietnam War.
He was a member of Post 495 Millis and the Massachusetts Laborers Union, where he was formerly employed.
Mr. Dooley is survived by his brother, Robert of Plainville; and two nieces.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. today at St. Joseph's Church, Needham.
Burial will be private.
