Bruce was a friend of mine from highschool days., infact all the Bilodeaus were friends.. Bruce after a divouce came to Alaska and visited me in 1976 when we were building our first log building which is today Talaheim Lodge.   Bruce signed the ridge pole.  I saved his signature and date after tearing down the old log structure.  It's on my desk with his name and date of 1976.   After flying with me, Bruce went right out and got his pilot's license, but soon learned that drinking and flying don't mix.  He crashed across the river from our lodge taking three more young souls with him.   First of 40 or more people I've known that have died in aviation here in Alaska.  Flying is to be taken seriously, especially in remote areas.
