David Loney Thompson of Ashland/Holliston, died on April 20, 2014.

Family:  Husband for 27 years of Martha Dietrich Thompson of Holliston. Son of Doris (Maurer) Thompson of Panton, VT and the late David Edmond Thompson. Father of Melissa Anne Thompson of Elmsford, NY and Andrew David Thompson and his wife Molly of San Rafael, CA. Step-father of Lauren April Lukis and her fiancé Scott Fisher of Franklin and Blake Dietrich Lukis and his wife Lindsey of Holliston. Brother of Laurie E. Thompson and her husband John D. Limanek of Charlotte, VT and Donald H. Thompson and his partner Joan Ascheim of North Granby, CT. Grandfather of Mia, Ruby, Grady and Callen. Uncle of Kaelee Thompson, Thompson and Taylor Limanek.

Life: A graduate of Needham High School, David received his BS in Finance from Babson College in Wellesley. He retired in 2010 after 31 years as the Director of Technical Service and Professional Sales for the California Products Corp. of Andover. He was an avid sports enthusiast and a longtime dedicated New England Patriots fan. He rarely missed a home game or the opportunity to tailgate with family and friends. David loved to fish and went on many memorable fishing trips with his father and brother on Cape Cod. He was a loving and devoted husband, son, father, grandfather, brother and uncle to his family and a great friend. He will be greatly missed by all of the lives that he touched.

Memorial Visitations will be held on Thursday, May 1, 2014 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at the John C. Bryant Funeral Home, 56 Pemberton Road (off Rte 30), WAYLAND. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, June 14, 2014 at 2:00 o'clock at South Dennis Congregational Church, 215 Main St., South Dennis, MA. Interment will be in the Maurer family lot at the South Dennis Cemetery at the convenience of his family. In lieu of flowers, his family suggests that memorial gifts in Davids memory be sent to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute/The Jimmy Fund, P.O.
