Barry Carr, Director of the Addiction Program, for Billings Human Services, formerly of Needham died suddenly Feb 21, 2012 at his home. He was 63.
Born in Boston he graduated from Needham High School and received his Masters in Education from Cambridge College. He worked as a counselor at the Bournewood Hospital in Jamaica Plain and had worked for Billings Human Services for over 10 years. He was an avid Patriots fan and collector of music, especially of the 1950's and 60's and a big Bob Dylan fan.
Barry was the father of Daniel E. Carr and friend and former husband of Linda Carr both of Fall River, brother of William Carr of Boxford and nephew of Walter Carr, Collette Fitzpatrick, Sr. Patricia Smith and Sr. Marie Patrice Carr. He is also survived by 4 nieces a nephew and many cousins. He was the son of the late Edward and Margaret Carr.
His funeral will be from the Eaton Funeral Home 1351 Highland Ave. (Exit 19B off Rte 128) NEEDHAM on Tues Feb 28 at 9 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph Church at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visiting hours are Mon 4-7 PM. Interment will be in Needham Cemetery.
