Leonard T. Cusack, Jr. '68

 Leonard “Tom” Cusack, Jr., 60, of Falmouth, formerly of Norwood, died peacefully at home on January 1, 2010 surrounded by his family, after battling with cancer for over a year. He was the husband of Marjorie (Roper) Cusack.

Mr. Cusack was raised in Needham and graduated from Needham High School in 1968. Shortly after graduation he joined the US. Army and served two tours in Vietnam. When he returned home he opened a restaurant in Stoughton and operated it for 8 years. For the last 16 years he was a dispatcher for the Norwood Fire Department.

He was known as an extremely generous man who adored all of his family and many friends. He was a member of the Falmouth Elks, a beach lover, and an avid golfer. He also worked part time at Falmouth Country Club.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his mother, Dorothy (Conroy) Cusack of Falmouth; children, Sean Cusack and fiancé Angelina Maffie of Walpole, and Kelly Cusack of Norwood; step-children, Michael Lucenta and wife Aimee of Franklin, and Laura Lucenta of Wellesley; siblings, Kevin Cusack and wife Mary of Canton, Richard Cusack of Bradenton, FL, Joyce Sempos and husband Robert of Falmouth, Janet Birkett and husband Jon of Medfield, Susan Morrison and husband John of Wareham, Timothy Cusack and wife Eileen of Mansfield, James Cusack and wife Lynne of Falmouth, Maura DeMello and husband Paul of Seabrook, NH, and Chris Cusack and wife Jackie of Falmouth; 3 grandchildren, Aidan Perron, Kendal Cusack, and Ava Lucenta; and many nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be from 4-8 pm on Tuesday, January 5th in the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 475 Main St, FALMOUTH CENTER. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 am on Wednesday, January 6th at St. Anthony's Church, 167 E. Falmouth Hwy (Route 28), East Falmouth, followed by burial at Massachusetts National Cemetery.
