Daniel S. Santry Jr., Needham High teacher

Daniel S. Santry Jr. died Friday, June 9, 2000, at his home in Needham. He was 81.

Born in Boston, Mr. Santry had lived in Needham for 30 years. He was a retired industrial arts teacher at Needham High School. A graduate of Boston University and Wentworth University, he was a World War II Army Air Corps veteran.

He leaves his wife, Marie E. (Conroy) Santry; his sons, Robert P. Santry of Yarmouth, Daniel S. Santry of Columbus, Ohio, John P. Santry of Vacaville, Calif., Matthew Santry of Chelmsford and Paul J. Santry of South Boston; his sister, Mary Skinner of South Boston; his brothers, John Santry of Weymouth, William Santry of Columbus, Ohio, and Robert Santry of Wellfleet; and four grandchildren.

He was the brother of the late Joseph Santry.

A funeral Mass was celebrated Tuesday, June 13, at St. Bartholomew's Church, Needham.

Burial was in St. Mary Cemetery, Needham.
