BARRY, Edward T. "Skip" Jr. Died peacefully in his home, surrounded by loved ones on Monday, February 14, 2022, at the age of 72. Skip is survived by his beloved, devoted wife, Nancy Barry of Needham; his daughter, Cristen Barry of Millis, his son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Sarah Barry of Walpole, his daughter and son-in-law, Lauren and Ryan Blackmore of Hopedale; his five grandchildren, Edward T Barry, IV, George Barry and Astrid, Nieve and Esme Blackmore. Preceded in death by his son, Edward T. Barry, III. Also left behind are his sister, Jacqueline Donovan of Needham and her family, his sister and brother-in-law, Michelle and Sean Sullivan of Littleton and their family. Skip was uncle, cousin, family, and friend to many. Skip was born on May 4, 1949, in Needham, MA, where he lived and worked his entire life. A graduate of Needham High School class of 1967 and a member of the 1966 state championship hockey team. A graduate of Harvard class of 1973 where he joined the golf team. Longtime member of Charles River Country Club where he distinguished himself with multiple club championships. Skip also took up the sport of racquetball and again reached a high level of competition. Partner at Barry & Farrell Insurance. A respected athlete, a fierce competitor and a successful businessman, he formed lifelong bonds and friendships along each path. Later in life, Skip enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He became passionate about woodworking and created countless pieces of furniture. Also an avid fisherman. Many of his most cherished moments were spent on his boat with family and friends. Services will be private to respect and honor Skip's wishes. His family would like to express sincere gratitude for the outpouring of support, kind words and thoughts. May he rest in peace.
